McKENZIE (April 9) — Despite an early morning chill in the air, thousands of individuals, mostly children, gathered at McKenzie City Park to partake in the McKenzie Chamber of Commerce’s Easter Egg Drop.

Members of the chamber along with vendors and volunteers from the community, McKenzie High School and Bethel University came together to make the event a resounding success for McKenzie. Approximately, 20,000 plastic eggs with surprises, along with various prizes, were either dropped by helicopter or spread out by the Easter Bunny and her helpers. Children were divided into four age groups with each division in search of a golden egg for a grand prize Easter basket.
