This year's Easter Egg Drop in McKenzie, TN, was met with thousands of participants who took part in a 50,000-egg hunt.
The wind could not compete with the enthusiasm of the eager egg hunters in search of prizes and the one Golden egg. The event, which started at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, at McKenzie City Park, featured a helicopter from AeroLuxe Aviation that dropped a slew of eggs to spectators below. Upon the delivery of the eggs, kids galore swarmed the area in a race to fill their Easter baskets.
Food trucks, such as Bebe's Biscuit Co. and Groovy Glaze Donuts, as well as local vendors made an appearance. Families could find festive backdrops for a family-friendly Easter photo and were able to pose with the Easter Bunny and other characters. Other activities included balloon twisting, crafts, and a bouncy house.
Children participating in the egg hunt ranged in age from 0 to 10 years, and prizes were awarded to the different age groups.
This event would not have been possible without our corporate sponsors, which include Cachengo, McKenzie Banking Company Foundation Bank, Haven Steel Products, Inc., and Allegion.
